Professional UAS Training
Measurable Proficiency, Not Just Certificates
We develop operators who can build, sustain, and employ unmanned systems in real operational environments—not just pass tests.
Who We Serve
Department of War
SOCOM units, research laboratories, and service branches requiring rapid capability development in FPV, autonomy, and field sustainment.
Learn More →Universities
Research institutions requiring operator training, assessment services, and hands-on instruction for aerospace and engineering programs.
Learn More →Prime Contractors
Defense contractors needing operator training, capability assessment, and train-the-trainer services for system fielding.
Learn More →What Makes Us Different
Capability-Based Assessment
We measure what operators can actually do, not just what they know. 1-5 proficiency ratings on demonstrable skills.
Field Sustainment Focus
Operators learn to build, repair, and modify systems organically—reducing contractor dependency and logistics burden.
Systems Thinking
Training covers the entire lifecycle: design intent, assembly, configuration, operation, failure modes, and adaptation.
Operator-Level Instruction
No academic theory fluff. Practical skills taught by instructors with real operational experience.
Veteran-Led Instruction
Instructors with real operational experience—not just academic credentials. Training built on lessons learned from actual deployments.
Scalable Through Instructors
Train-the-trainer programs enable your team to train others without diluting standards or relying on us long-term.
Featured Training Programs
Practical UAS Development: From CAD to Autonomous Flight
Master the complete UAS development lifecycle in 10 days. Design, 3D print, assemble, program, and fly your own Group 2 fixed-wing autonomous recon platform. Students build a custom twin-motor aircraft with payload capabilities and autonomous flight systems—and leave with the skills to replicate the process.
- Design & 3D print aircraft modifications and custom payloads
- Assemble airframe with carbon fiber reinforcement
- Integrate power systems and flight electronics
- Configure ArduPilot for autonomous missions
- Execute manual and autonomous flight operations
FAA Part 107 Test Prep
Intensive 2-day or 4-week courses preparing students for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate exam. We provide prep materials and fund exam costs (up to 2 attempts) at local FAA-authorized test center.
Learn More →Platform-Specific Training
Hands-on instruction for Forge & Flight platforms (Aether, Vanguard, Titan) or customer-provided systems. Covers assembly, configuration, operation, and sustainment.
Learn More →Instructor Certification
Train-the-trainer program qualifying experienced operators to instruct others. Covers methodology, curriculum, safety management, and student assessment.
Learn More →Custom Training Solutions
Tailored programs designed for specific platforms, missions, or organizational requirements. Unit-level training, technical upskilling, or capability development.
Learn More →Five Integrated Training Domains
Our training framework spans five interconnected capability domains—working together to create comprehensive technical competency.
Unmanned & Autonomous Systems
End-to-end platform lifecycle: design, assembly, configuration, operation, sustainment, and adaptation. FPV, fixed-wing, VTOL.
RF, Spectrum & Communications
Spectrum awareness, link diagnostics, GPS dependency management, and communications resilience for contested environments.
Field Fabrication & Sustainment
Organic repair, modification, and sustainment of UAS, sensors, radios, and electronics in austere field conditions.
Autonomy, AI & Edge Computing
Operator-facing autonomy training: edge computing, sensor fusion, human-in-the-loop control, and degraded autonomy behavior.
Capability Assessment
Measurable proficiency evaluation using 1-5 capability scales, practical exams, and stress-based validation. Our long-term moat.
Trusted by Defense & Research Institutions
Integrated Ecosystem
As part of the Forge & Flight Holdings family, our training programs integrate seamlessly with:
- Platform Development: Training on custom Group 2 UAS platforms designed and built in North Carolina
- American-Made Systems: All training platforms use domestically-sourced components and electronics
- Test Range Access: Dedicated flight validation facilities for comprehensive hands-on training
